Chilling body camera video shows a sheriff's deputy being shot and wounded during a deadly gun battle with a teen who authorities said killed his parents at their Florida home.

"Aaah! I'm hit," Deputy Shane McGough said after being knocked to the ground during a fusillade of gunfire outside the house in Tampa, according to the recording.

McGough, 26, then repeatedly called for a tourniquet before shouting out again, "I'm hit! I'm hit!"

The video also shows another sheriff's deputy lifting McGough's upper body and saying, "One, two, three - come on" before helping him to his feet.

"I got one leg," McGough said.

The dramatic events unfolded Saturday night after the mother phoned 911 around 11 p.m. to report her husband had just been shot, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

During the call, a dispatcher heard the sound of gunfire and deputies who went to the house on Cactus Wren Place found the woman outside with her son, Christos Alexander Themelis, Jr., 19.

Themelis allegedly shot snd killed his mom before opening fire on McGough and four other deputies who fired back, the sheriff's office said.

The teen then ran into the house, where authorities later found him dead of wounds from the gunfight, the sheriff's office said.

"The monster we encountered this evening is responsible for not only injuring our deputy but also killing his own mother and father," Sheriff Chad Chronister said in a prepared statement.

"Our deputies responded to a chaotic scene and immediately put themselves in harm's way to protect our community. Without our deputy's quick and skillful response, an entire neighborhood would have been in danger."

McGough was rushed to a nearby trauma center where he underwent surgery Sunday morning to insert a metal rod into his fractured shinbone and remove the bullet that hit him.

"The surgeon said the surgery went extremely well. Looking at about a three-month recovery period," Chronister said in a video update.
