Police in the Canary Islands have arrested three people in the horrific murders of a Belgian woman whose dismembered body was found floating in the surf off Tenerife shortly after she and her husband were reported in April, according to a report.
The trio have been charged in the deaths of Laura Gaston, 66, and her husband, Marc Francis, 71, who were reported missing in April, the Canarian Weekly reported on Friday.
Gaston's body was discovered by a fisherman on April 27 off the east coast of Tenerife.
Her body was horribly mutilated - she was missing a hand and both legs, and her head was covered in a plastic bag, the report said.
Her husband is still missing.
Two of the arrests took place in Belgium and the third in Tenerife.The investigation continues.
