The estranged husband of a missing woman was arrested Friday and is currently facing felony charges as authorities continue their search for the wife.

The husband of a missing Wisconsin woman is under arrest after authorities say he was illegally spending money from her financial accounts.

Crystal Rasch, 37, has been missing since last month.

Sheriff's deputies investigating the case started looking at her bank accounts and say her estranged husband, 42-year-old Zachariah Rasch misappropriate her identity to fund purchases.

He faces seven felony counts of misappropriating ID information to obtain money.

Crystal was last seen on June 11 and reported missing on June 23 by her stepmother, who said she hadn't heard from Crystal since June 11, according to the criminal complaint seen by WITI-TV.

The stepmother told investigators she had stopped at her stepdaughter's home and saw her vehicle parked in the garage.

She was later told by Crystal's mother that the 37-year-old had traveled to Michigan to see her brother; however, the brother said he too had not seen Crystal.

Authorities contacted several friends and family members who all said they haven't had any in-person contact with Crystal since June 10, but several did say they received Facebook messages allegedly from Crystal, though they suspected the messages were fake based on the language and tone used.

Zachariah Rasch also claimed to the police that he had not seen or contacted Crystal as they were reportedly going through a divorce.

The complaint goes on to state that through interviews, surveillance footage, and transaction data, it was discovered that Zachariah had made numerous purchases with Crystal's cards.

He is alleged to have spent as much as $6,000 on cleaning supplies and other items, according to WISN-TV.

A search warrant was executed on Zachariah's home on June 26 related to the identity theft.

Meanwhile, the Adams County Sheriff's Office disclosed Zacharaiah has connections to two separate areas of land in the town of Springville.

Due to the size of the properties, it took nearly 100 law enforcement officers from 28 departments two days to search the property.

A 2023 Mitsubishi Eclipse registered to Zachariah Rasch was found and is said to contain "significant evidentiary value" in the whereabouts of Crystal.

It is currently being analyzed by the Wisconsin State Crime Lab in Madison.
