Following the discovery of three murdered women in his England home, a manhunt for a crossbow-wielding suspect has begun.
The three women have been identified as the wife and two daughters of a BBC journalist, according to CNN.
The victims were identified as the wife, Carol Hunt, 61, and two daughters, ages 28 and 25, of BBC racing commentator John Hunt.
A press statement released on Wednesday stated that Herfordshire Police are searching for 26-year-old Kyle Clifford in connection with the incident after being called to a property in Bushy shortly before 7:00 on July 9.
Officers attended alongside colleagues from the East of England Ambulance Service and, on arrival, found the three women with serious injuries who later died from their wounds.
Authorities do believe the murders were a "targeted incident," according to CNN.
In a post shared on X, police revealed the suspect, Clifford, "may be in possession of a crossbow" and warned the public not to approach him.
British Home Secretary Yvette Cooper has said she is being kept "fully updated" by police on the ongoing manhunt.
"I am being kept fully updated. I urge people to support Hertfordshire Police with any information about this case," she added.
Detective Superintendent Rob Hall from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit also expressed:
"This is an incredibly difficult incident for the victims' family, and we would ask that their privacy be respected as they come to terms with what has happened."
Hall added that they are still in the early stages of the investigation and are actively looking for Kyle Clifford, who is believed to be in the areas of Herfordshire or North London.
"Our inquiries will continue over the coming days to ascertain the full circumstances of what happened," Hall continued, before asking anyone who was in the area prior to the occurrence if they had seen anything that could potentially help their case, according to PEOPLE.
