An Okhlahoma cop is facing an internal investigation over a Facebook post following the assassination attempt on Donald Trump.

Lieutenant Darin Ehrenreich, head of the Tulsa Police Department's Special Victims Unit, posted to Facebook using an account under a different name, according to KOKI-TV.

The post in question was a song lyric hinting at the assassination attempt made on Trump while he spoke at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday.

In the post, Ehrenreich expressed that he was reminded of a song lyric along the lines of "Well, it could have been a better shot."

"On its face, I would say the post is not appropriate, particularly at this time and date," said Tulsa attorney Tim Gilpin told the station.

Former police chief Chuck Jordan called the post "unf*****g believable.

Ehrenreich later changed his profile picture to an edited photo showing Trump's face on painter Van Gogh's body, famously known for cutting off his own ear, according to the report.

Gilpin revealed that the only thing working in Ehrenreich's favor at this point is that the account did have a different name, and nowhere on it is he identified as a TPD officer. In another case, a faculty member at Kentucky's Bellarmine University was placed on unpaid leave on Monday following their own "offensive and unacceptable" post.

The University Herald reported John James posted, "If you're gonna shoot, man, don't miss."
