A plastic surgeon's explainer on Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz's concerning appearance at the Republican National Convention is going TikTok viral.
Gaetz took the stage in Milwaukee Wednesday night, reaffirming his loyalty to former President Donald Trump while slamming President Joe Biden in the process.
But his seemingly statuesque face unintentionally stole the show, with many people glazing over his speech, and instead, focusing on his bizarre look. On social media, users were quick to call out Gaetz's taut forehead and stout cheeks, accusing him of going overboard with the Botox.
Michigan plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn surmised whoever administered the beauty injectable for Gaetz must have missed a few spots.
"Botox is often injected in the frontalis muscles in the forehead to reduce horizontal forehead lines. But if you only inject Botox into the center of the forehead and not off to the side, it could cause the eyebrows to arch up, unnaturally," Youn explained in a TikTok video that's garnered nearly 30,000 views since it was posted Thursday.
"This could make you look like Cruella de Vil, or in Matt Gaetz's case – Beavis, " he quipped, in reference to MTV's Beavis and Butt-Head.

Youn isn't the only person to come for the congressman.
X user Greta Grace joked, "Matt Gaetz is two white tigers and a life partner from having a Vegas act."
"Matt Gaetz (R-Botox)," cracked journalist Peter Hamby.
Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy spoke with CNN Wednesday night and commented on Gaetz's appearance. "He looks very unhinged. A lot of people have concerns about him, and I'm not sure if he was on something. But I do hope that he gets the help that he needs. More importantly, I hope the young women get the justice they deserve when it comes to him."
Gaetz is currently under investigation by the House Ethics Committee over allegations that he engaged in sexual misconduct and illegal drug use.
