Nikon launched its new 1 V3 digital camera with 20FPS continuous shooting, the shortest lag time and having world's fastest using AF tracking
Nikon, one of the world's biggest digital camera makers, is bringing the latest addition to its family, the 1 V3. The new digital camera features a Hybrid autofocus system and touts to have the world's fastest high-speed continuous shooting mode of 20 fps with full autofocus and up to 60 fps when focus is locked, Nikon said in a press release, Thursday. The Nikon 1 V3 advanced camera is capable of capturing moving object in sharp focus, thanks to the 171 contrast-detect AF focus points, and 105 phase-detection AF focus points, which wins over the tracking abilities of DSLRs.
Unlike the company's signature look as seen in the V1 and V2, Nikon 1 V3 features a new look. The camera has a matte black finish along with a detachable grip accessory. It also sports a 3-inch 1.037 million-dot touch screen with 180 degree tillable feature, which helps in taking shots from different angles. The Nikon 1 V3 is the first in the company's new 1 series to have a virtual horizon function that helps in shooting in both landscape and portrait mode.
The latest digital camera has built in Wi-Fi support, so files can be transferred to a smart device and then shared on social media sites.
On the camera front, the 1 V3 sports an 18.4 megapixel sensor with EXPEED 4A image processor and low-pass filter for sharp images. The camera is equipped with an ISO range from 160 to 12,800, for suppressed noise in the images and superior quality images even in dark surroundings. The video recording is made possible at Full HD 1080p at 60p and 120fps in 720p resolution. The camera also features full-time autofocus when shooting at 30p and it features electronic vibration reduction (Movie e-VR) for suppressed camera shake effects in a video.
The V3 will hit the stores in April, with a suggested price of $1,200. The package includes the 10-30mm lens, grip, and DF-N1000 EVF. Additional lens will come at an extra cost, $1,000 for the 70-300mm telephoto lens and $300 for the 10-30mm lens, which is already included in the package.
