Lady Gaga left her mark during her showcase at SXSW music festival and it was covered in vomit.
No, someone didn't accidentally vomit on the Mother Monster and it wasn't her own digestive content on her body. According to Rolling Stone, Gaga had performance artist Millie Brown throw up "bright green goo" all over her while she sang a song called "Swine," which was about "rape and rage."
"They then climbed onto what appeared to be a large mechanical bull (à la Urban Cowboy) but was actually a mechanical pig with a ball gag in its mouth. A neon sign came to life advertising 'Lady Gaga's Haus of Swine BBQ,'" Rolling Stone reports.
MTV New reports the singer warned her fans her performance was about to get messy, but no one saw the vomit-filled performance coming. After her performance of "Swine," Gaga sat down at her piano to perform her next song, "Dope."
"I love my fans because they let me be myself," Gaga told the SXSW.
"It's so much easier to be yourself than it is to be somebody else," the singer continued. "Because then you have to pretend to be someone else and like things that you don't like and do stuff that you don't want to do."
Gaga also dedicated a song to the two people who were killed during a drunk driving accident that occurred at SXSW, MTV reports.
"When you leave the earth, no one is going to care that you tweeted or how famous I am," Gaga told the crowd. "They're going to care how you touched people. Fight for your dreams every day. Don't think they can't happen. It's happening right now for me."
