Scarlett Johansson showed off her growing baby bump for the first time on the red carpet for the premiere of "Captain America: The Winter Soldier." It was Johansson's first public appearance since news broke that the actress was expecting her first child with her fiancé Romain Dauriac.
The actress has yet to confirm her pregnancy but her costars and producers have all revealed that Johansson is in fact expecting. Jon Favreau, director and costar in the upcoming movie, "Chef," told E! News that he thinks the "Her' star is going to be a great mother.
"She'll be wonderful," he said at the South by Southwest festival in Austin.
"She's one of my favorite people because she's smart, she's talented and she's really down to earth and a hard worker," Favreau continued. "I like a hard worker. She really did a lot of work to train to play Black Widow [in the 'Avengers' movies]. She's always pleasant to be around and she's got really good instincts about scenes, she helped me on 'Chef,' she helped me a lot with the script and her character. She's good people."
Kevin Feige, Marvel Studios President of Production, also confirmed the news telling Collider.com that the script for "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" would not be rewritten following the pregnancy news. After the Hollywood starlet finishes promoting "Captain America," she's scheduled to immediately begin filming for "Avengers."
"Well my first reaction was I was very happy for her and very excited for her," Feige told the site about first hearing about the baby news.
"My second reaction was we've got to move some pieces on the chess board around schedule-wise," he added. "But we didn't change the script at all, which is sort of the most important thing for us in terms of the storyline."
Feige also said that they plan to hide Johansson's baby bump so that fans "never know" that Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow was pregnant while filming.
According to reports, the actress is due in August.
