Kate Gosselin and her children will return to TV for a one-hour special to show the world how well they have are doing since leaving TLC.
Hollywood Life reports Kate and her eight kids will all be featured on the TLC special, but it is unlikely their father Jon Gosselin will be a guest on the feature.
"I do have 8 kids to support solely and so obviously that is at the heart of every parent's' mind," Kate told the celebrity gossip site. "I can't fail my kids and I feel like that gives me a lot of 'umph' for when I'm tired to eek out that last bit."
"It's an update of where we left off, what has happened in the last few years," Kate added. "They're funnier, the conversations we have now are hysterical. They want to give me fashion advice and dating advice and all these other things. They're very vocal and that has come out in this and they're just the same great kids and becoming more of who they are and will be."
However, the last time Kate's oldest children, 13-year-olds Cara and Mady, made television appearances it didn't exactly go smoothly. The twins froze on the "TODAY Show" when asked about their lives now, remaining uncomfortably quiet when their father was brought up in conversation.
The girls' father spoke out about Kate attempting to allegedly manipulate them to extend her stay in the celebrity spotlight in an interview with InTouch. Jon explained why Cara and Mady seemed very awkward on their TV appearances.
"I think out of fear, they went silent," Jon told InTouch. "They were never scripted before, it was a reality show - do what you want, say what you want. They were in a moral dilemma. All the stress got to them and they didn't say anything."
According to Hollywood Life, Jon plans to fight to keep his children away from the cameras.
