Paul Walker Death Update: Guardianship Issues Over Daughter Meadow Walker Resolved Outside Of Courtroom

Paul Walker's mother, Cheryl Ann Walker, will not receive guardianship over her granddaughter, according to E! News.

Meadow Walker, 15, will reportedly live with her mother Rebecca Soteros in California. Cheryl filed paperwork on March 20 to become Meadow's legal guardian, but the two parties met in court on Thursday to settle the dispute.

"Parties involved are trying to resolve whatever the issues are so that this matter goes off calendar," Cheryl's lawyer, Bela G. Lugosi, told E! News after the court appearance. The goal of both parties is to keep the guardianship dispute out of a courtroom.

An insider close to the situation told E! News Meadow will move back with her mother as part of the arrangement agreed upon by both parties. The source claims Meadow is happy with the agreement.

"Meadow will live with her mother and they will be getting a place [in California] and the agreement does involve both the guardianship and estate issues," the source said.

Paul died in a car accident on Nov. 30, 2013. According to the Los Angeles Times, the "Fast & Furious" franchise star and friend Roger Rodas were traveling 93 mph in a 45 mph speed limit road during the time of the accident. No evidence of mechanical failure (including brake failure) was found, but old tires and fast speeds did contribute to the accident.

"Walker died of 'severe blunt head, neck and chest trauma,' sustaining a broken arm, wrist, jaw and ribs, according to the coroner's report. The fire burned his body beyond recognition," the LA Times reports.

Rodas suffered from similar injuries from the accident. Rodas and Paul were headed to a Reach Out Worldwide charity event, which the two cofounded to help provide aid to places that were devastated by natural disasters. The men were active members of the ROW organization.
