Robert Kirkman wants fans of AMC's "The Walking Dead" to watch the Season 4 finale a few more times. The episode, titled "A," was full of hints and teasers about what will happen in Season 5, Kirkman told TheWalkingDead.com.
"There's a big story to Terminus. There's a very long and involved way that Terminus came about, and that memorial is a big part of it. It's what these people have lived through and what's happened to them and what's built them into what they are, which will be revealed in Season 5," he said.
"There are a lot of hints when you watch this episode closely of what's to come in Season 5, so I would definitely urge everyone to watch this episode multiple times and try to pick out the things we're teasing because there's a lot to find," he added.
Some of those clues will definitely help fans understand exactly what Terminus is. The show didn't reveal Terminus' story but the clues do hint that the "sanctuary" could actually be the home of The Hunters from the comics.
First there were screaming people in the cars and the pile of human bones on the ground as Rick, Carl, Michonne and Daryl tried to escape the gun fire. As Daryl and Michonne pointed out the snipers weren't shooting to kill, which is another clue that they wanted to keep their "dinner" alive.
Moviepilot also pointed out that Gareth bares a scary resemblance to Chris, who was the leader of the Hunters in the comics. And Rick's last line in the finale is an edited version of what his comic book character uttered right before going to war with the cannibals.
Kirkman also briefly dished on what viewers can expect when the show returns. Tyreese, Carol and baby Judith will show up in Season 5 but there appearance might surprise fans. He also said Beth will be back but wouldn't say when or how she will pop back up.
Showrunner Scott Gimple also offered some spoilers and told fans via Twitter that there will be additional comic book characters added to Season 5. When he was asked specifically about Negan, Gimple said "Negan will be in the show... but we won't say when."
Comic books fans already know how ruthless and brutal Negan is.
