'Batman vs. Superman' (Man of Steel 2) Update: Leaked Filming Locations Reveal Gotham As A Setting; Lex Luthor Gets A Sidekick? (RUMORS)

The "Batman vs. Superman" production is underway with rumors of possible filming locations and plot details spreading across the Internet.

Batman-News.com received a tip from a reader claiming to have listened in on a conversation about the "Man of Steel" sequel while in a local Detroit coffee shop. Below is a list of details the reader claims is relating to the upcoming DC movie:

-They wanted to film at the courthouse in Detroit at night, but because there would be loud weapons they ran into complications.
-There was talk about shutting down some train crossings.
-They were trying to find the right convenience store for a robbery scene.
-A helicopter was supposed to land on COBO Hall in Detroit. The production wanted to blow a hole in the roof. However, COBO said no. They had promised to repair it, but COBO still said no. They'll be heading to Chicago to shoot the scene with the helicopter and explosion.
-There was also mention of possibly using the Masonic Temple in Detroit.

Many fans are speculating the locations could be for scenes in Batman's hometown of Gotham. However, the location rumors have not been confirmed by the "Batman vs. Superman" production.

Another interesting rumor making the rounds dives into the recent casting of Holly Hunter, Tao Okamoto and Callan Mulvey in the sequel. Comic Book Resources claims Hunter could play anything from Wonder Woman's sidekick to Bruce Wayne's ally and Mulvey could play a villain.

However, Okamoto's character might be on Lex Luthor's side. According to CBR, the actress could fit into the bad girl sidekick or Clark Kent's coworker at the Daily Planet.

"Okamoto proved to be quite a versatile actress in The Wolverine, meaning that she could pull off playing either Lex's sassy sidekick, or possibly a fellow journalist at the Daily Planet," CBR reports. "And if Snyder wants to sneak in another super hero, he could always make Okamoto an unnamed astronomer, thus paying homage to Dr. Light."

"Batman vs. Superman" will be released to theaters on May 6, 2016.
