Katherine Webb and her fiancé AJ McCarron have landed themselves a reality show. According to The Plainsman, Webb and McCarron have already started filming for a reality TV show about their upcoming wedding.
The former beauty queen announced her engagement last month on Twitter by showing off her huge diamond ring.
"WE'RE ENGAGED!! @10AJMcCarron," she tweeted.
According to her sister, Laurie Webb, the ring is about five carats and has pink South African diamonds on the side. You can check out a photo of the ring here.
Laurie, who will be the main of honor, told The Plainsman that Katherine and McCarron have already started shooting for the show and had a camera crew at the proposal.
"From what I understood, it came from someone else. I don't think they were trying to get into a reality show, I think they just had the opportunity and decided to take it," she said.
Katherine's mother, Leslie Webb, told the newspaper that producers have been reaching out to her daughter and the former Alabama quarterback ever since the BCS game when ESPN announcer Brent Musburger wouldn't stop gushing about how beautiful Katherine was.
Leslie said at the time the couple wasn't ready to do a reality show.
"They think it's a great opportunity," Laurie said. "They can also have a documentation of special times during their life, which will be kind of cool."
According to the newspaper the engagement will be short and wedding plans are already well under way. The couple is said to be getting married on July 11.
"We just had to get into wedding mode super quick," Leslie said. "She's wanting to keep it in Alabama but because it's such a short time frame, that might not be an option."
So far the reality show does not have a network and producers are still working out all the details.
