Jenny McCarthy Engaged: ‘The View’ Co-host Flashes Yellow Sapphire Ring as She Recalls Donnie Wahlberg’s Proposal (PHOTO)

Jenny McCarthy is engaged to Donnie Wahlberg. McCarthy announced the news on the Wednesday's (Apr. 16) episode of "The View."

"I just got engaged!" she said, as she showed off her ring. "It's a yellow sapphire."

McCarthy started crying as she recalled how the actor popped the question and even had her son, Evan, help. She said her son came out holding a card that read, "Will" followed by another card that read, "Yu."

McCarthy said at this point she realized what was going on. Wahlberg stepped out holding the final card that read, "ME?" and presented her with the engagement ring. After she told the story, the New Kids on The Block member came out and kissed her.

McCarthy and Wahlberg first started dating last summer. This will be the second marriage for both. Wahlberg, who has two sons, was previously married to Kim Fey and McCarthy was married to Evan's father, John Asher.

The couple met last March on the set of her VH1 show. The Playboy cover girl previously told People magazine that the one thing she and Wahlberg have in common is there "work ethic."

"He understands my work schedule and he has his and I get it," she said. "And we're both single parents and he's trying to juggle all of that while I am too."

McCarthy told Barbara Walters that they have not decided on a wedding date yet but August is on the table. Walters told her cohost that if she decided to get married in September, they can tie-the-knot at her apartment,

McCarthy recently came under fire for her views on vaccine. She has been very vocal about her stance on vaccinations but recently wrote an op-ed piece for the Chicago Sun Times saying that she is - and never was - "anti-vaccine."
