Bungie Studios has reassured fans their upcoming "Destiny" title will not "favor" PlayStation users over Xbox gamers.
The game developers revealed in a blog post they are working out the bugs in their title through their playtests. The studio is aware there are issues with their Beta and is working to smooth out the bugs in their gameplay.
"It's a cross-section of the game that's technically interesting to our engineers and testers," Bungie's Senior Producer, Matt Priestley told the studio's official blog. "Destinations, weapons, and abilities are sliced and diced in whatever way is sensible for testing."
"To most players, it would seem like a strange assortment," Priestley told the studio's official blog. "It's not the seamless adventure they'll get from the Alpha or Beta."
A fan recently accused Bungie of ignoring their Xbox fan base. Bungie community manager David Dague responded, "Who's ignoring you? We're right here; making a game we hope you'll love. We're listening to your questions, and answering the ones we can. If you're a gamer who wants to play a Bungie game, you're very much on our mind-- every day."
IGN has played through the first few hours of "Destiny." Check out the snippet of IGN's preview below:
Destiny revels in empowered character choices; decisions that let players inevitably build a fully customized legendary hero. Distinct character focuses gave me to access to a variety of different special moves as well as both active and passive abilities. Regardless of the primary race or class, each Guardian sported multiple slots for armor, a three-weapon limit, and grenades to round out the arsenal. My team and I rolled through Old Russia with rifles, pistols, futuristic large machine guns, rocket launchers, and multiple grenade types.
