Columbus Short is once again finding himself in a bit of trouble. The actor's wife, Tuere Tanee, claims Short broke into their home over Easter weekend and ransacked the place, TMZ reports. Tanee was not home at the time but had gotten a temporary restraining order which barred Short from entering the home.
She also filed for divorce on Apr. 16 citing irreconcilable differences claiming that the former "Scandal" star threatened to kill her. According to TMZ, Tanee filed a new court document that claims that Short broke the front door off its hinges, ripped off her bed sheets and "made her fear for her safety and the safety of their 2-year-old daughter."
Reportedly the actor is ignoring the restraining order because he feels he should have the right to enter the home as he pleases since his name is on the lease. Tanee has also accused the actor of being violent towards her in the past and recently Short was arrested after getting into a fight with a man at an engagement party.
Because of all the negative attention Short has been getting, he was reportedly fired from the ABC show "Scandal." He announced his exit on Apr. 26.
"At this time I must confirm my exit from a show I've called home for 3 years, with what is the most talented ensemble on television today... Everything must come to an end and unfortunately the time has come for Harrison Wright to exit the canvas. I wish nothing but the best for Shonda [Rhimes], Kerry [Washington] and the rest of the cast, who have become like a second family to me in such a short amount of time. For this, I will forever be grateful."
A source told E! News that it wasn't Short's decision to leave the show and that the choice was made for "creative purposes."
At the end of Season 3, Short's character had figured out that Rowan killed the president's son and was being held at gunpoint at B613.
