'X-Men: Days Of Future Past' SPOILERS: See Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) Confront Bolivar Trask (Peter Dinklage) In New Teaser Clip (WATCH)

A new “X-Men: Days of Future Past” clip reveals a confrontation between Bolivar Trask (Peter Dinklage) and Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) in what appears to be a meeting about a new weapon to take out the Mutant race.

Trask walks into the meeting to show off what looks to be a handheld Mutant detector. Trask then turns on the device, which instantly sets off the alarm in the presence of a Mutant, outing Mystique in the process. Guns are drawn on Mystique, who reveals her true form as she strikes down the men attempting to hold her down.

You can check out the official clip in in the video below. “X-Men: Days of Future Past” is slated to hit theaters on 23.

Mystique is arguably one of the most interesting characters in the “X-Men” crew. There have been multiple rumors claiming Lawrence could be slated to carry a film on her own portraying the mysterious Mutant.

According to Yahoo! Movies, "Days of Future Past" writer-producer Simon Kinberg has claimed he was interested in the idea of a Mystique-led film, but doesn’t know how likely it is to happen.

"I have no idea if there will be a Mystique spinoff," Kinberg told Yahoo at a WonderCon presentation. "We got Jen's makeup [application] down from I think seven or eight hours on 'X-Men: First Class' to about three or four on this film, which is pretty awful but at least it's not torture. On the last film, I think she'd have to get there sometimes at midnight the night before we shot and sit in that makeup trailer and I guess just sleep until we started. This was more bearable and we were more conscious of when she was blue not having her sit around."

"She's great and there are so many different ways you could go with the character and a lot of story to tell," Kinberg said. "Part of the challenge of these movies we're talking about is to give everybody enough drama to play, so the notion of Jen being the lead in her own movie is interesting."
