"Batman vs. Superman" star Ben Affleck was allegedly kicked out of a Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas, Nev. for counting cards.
Radar Online reports the actor was banned from the casino "due to moving his money with the count." An alert was issued to security to escort the actor away from the blackjack tables.
"Afleck 'uses perfect basic,' a common term for introductory card counting, according to the alert, 'but also takes insurance according to the count. Uses black $100 cheques to keep track of the count while playing," according to Radar.
Card counting is technically not illegal, but it is cause for casino to kick someone off of the gambling floor. The Hard Rock Casino was monitoring Affleck and management warned the actor that they were on to him.
"An April 22 internal email from the Games Protection Manager at the Wynn and Encore casinos, Rob Olivetti warned recipients that 'Ben Affleck (the actor) ... Was informed that he was being way too obvious moving his money with the count. He was spreading $100 -10K on the double decks and $0-20K (2@10K) on the shoe games. As of now, he is still being allowed to play per casino management,'" according to Radar.
Multiple reports claim Affleck was banned from the casino. However, Perez Hilton reports the actor was only banned at the blackjack tables and security was "cordial" when asking him to leave tables.
Affleck has raised alarms before at a Hard Rock casino back in 2001. Affleck reportedly walked away with $800,000 in blackjack "by playing three $20,000 blackjack hands at once," according to TMZ.
Affleck was in Las Vegas with his wife Jennifer Garner for romantic vacation before they head to Detroit, where Affleck will be on location for the upcoming "Batman vs. Superman" movie, TMZ reports.
