'Game Of Thrones' Season 4, Episode 5 Recap: Petyr Baelish Is The Puppet Master Behind [SPOILER] And Sansa Stark Is In Danger

"Game of Thrones" is halfway through season four revealing the biggest shockers of the series yet.

Fans of the series finally got a taste of Petyr Baelish's backstory. Sansa Stark and Baelish arrive to the Vale of Arryn after escaping the grips of the Lannisters. Baelish urges Sansa to go by the name Alayne Stone and pretend to be his niece.

Sansa reveals here true identity when she is alone with Lysa Tully, Catelyn Stark's sister, and her son Robert Arryn. Lysa urges her son not to call Sansa by her real name around anyone but "Uncle Petyr" and herself. Lysa sends Robert to show Sansa her chambers, leaving her alone with Baelish.

Lysa begins kissing Baelish, who seems to be disinterested in her physical advances. She begs Baelish to marry her immediately, which he believes isn't the best idea. Lysa then reveals she poisoned her husband Jon Arryn, accusing the Lannisters of murder under Baelish's instructions. Baelish agrees to marry Lysa immediately and she warns her guards she will be screaming all night when she makes love to her new husband.

Lysa eventually meets up with Sansa after spending time with her new husband. She offers Sansa he favorite treats in order to comfort her, revealing stories about her mother Catelyn when she was younger. However, the conversation quickly turns sour after Lysa begins interrogating Sansa about her intentions with Baelish.

Sansa assures Lysa she is a virgin and has never touched Baelish. She begs Lysa to believe her and doesn't know why Baelish feels responsible for her. Sansa begins crying and her aunt hugs her to try and calm her. Lysa tells Sansa she will soon be a widow, referring to the upcoming trial of her husband Tyrion Lannister, and she will soon marry her cousin Robert.

Meanwhile, Cersei is plotting to build a solid case against Tyrion. She meets with Oberyn Martell, who she opens up to about her daughter Myrcella and asks him about her well being. Oberyn assures her the people of Dorne do not mistreat their little girls as he is the father of eight daughters himself. Cersei wants to believe Myrcella is doing well, but misses her terribly. She asks Oberyn if he could give her a gift for missing her name day and tell her how much her mother misses her. Oberyn agrees.

Back up North, Jon Snow heads to the Craster's home in order to destroy it before Mance Rayder's army gets to it first. Jon defeats the troop of Night's Watch mutineers, but unknowingly sets his younger brother Brandon Stark free from his captors. Jojen Reed explains to Brandon that he must choose whether he wishes to see his brother or find the three-eyed raven, because Jon wouldn't let him continue his journey if he spots them. Brandon, along with Hodor and the Reed siblings, decide to leave before Jon sees them.
