George Clooney's fiancée Amal Alamuddin is reportedly already hard at work planning her wedding. A source told Radar Online that the newly engaged couple plan to get married in a few months and then start a family shortly after.
"The wedding is to take place in September," a source told Radar.
Reportedly Alamuddin and Clooney are considering tying-the-knot in London but want to keep the location private.
"They've told family and friends they will only disclose the location at the last minute, and it will be very private," the source said.
"Neither George nor Amal want the wedding to be a public affair - and her family really doesn't either."
The source claims that shortly after the wedding, Clooney and Alamuddin will work on starting a family.
"[Amal and George] definitely want kids asap," the source said. "Her father is getting older, and he really wants to see her kids. Out of all his kids, he's especially proud of Amal. It would mean the world to him to see her become a mom."
According to Radar, the "Gravity" actor kept the proposal a top secret from Alamuddin's family but did briefly mention that he wanted to marry her one day.
"He definitely tossed the subject of marriage around with them so that he knew they would approve, but he really wanted the proposal to be a total surprise, and didn't want to give away any hints about when it was going to take place," the source said.
According to the New York Post's Page Six, the actor popped the question at his Studio City, Calif. home over a home cooked meal.
"George cooked a meal himself for Amal at home on Apr. 22, then he surprised her by getting down on bended knee and presenting her with the ring," the source said. "He was so happy she accepted. He was calling friends with the news later that night."
According to E! News, he presented the human rights lawyer with a 7-carat, emerald-cut diamond ring set in platinum. Jeweler Jean Dousett believes the ring cost around $750,000.
