There are a ton of rumors floating around about Warner Bros. and DC Comics. Two big stories dropped recently that are sure to have comic book fans excited. The first rumor comes from Jeff Sneider, a reporter for The Wrap, who tweeted an agency grid that lists Martian Manhunter and Max Lord as characters in a reported "Justice League" film.
Sneider also said that he heard Darkseid was listed as a villain in the movie. According to Comicbook.com, all three characters have been previously rumored to appear in a "Justice League" film "so it's possible that the agency grid was prepared off rumored information."
The agency grid also included Superman (Henry Cavill) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) but no Batman (Ben Affleck). All three characters will appear in Zack Snyder's upcoming movie "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."
It's not clear where Sneider got the information from or if it's real but it does fall in line with another rumor posted by journalist Nikki Finke. The same day as the above information was leaked, Finke posted on her website that she received a schedule of what movies Warner Bros. and DC Comics plan on releasing.
Check out the schedule below:
May 2016- Batman v Superman
July 2016- Shazam
Christmas 2016-Sandman
May 2017-Justice League
July 2017-Wonder Woman
Christmas 2017-Flash and Green Lantern team-up
May 2018-Man of Steel 2
Finke also posted that the delay in "Batman v Superman" had nothing to do with the script or Affleck, as previously rumored. Her source said the delay was so Warner Bros. could have more time securing actors and actresses for key roles. Reportedly these roles will be teased in "Dawn of Justice" with cameo appearances.
"Like Marvel's 'The Avengers,' there will be cameos of superheroes for future installments. The cameos will include the already known Cyborg and Flash. Green Lantern... may be introduced. And Aquaman will be seen in the Justice League movie. Problem is, Warner Bros Pictures was still negotiating with the actors for those cameos and future roles, meaning major contracts for multiple JL/character films to follow. The studio didn't want to move forward until they had more of this secure so they held off starting production for a few months. Seemingly simple reason, but the implications are pretty darn huge."
The source also said that "Metal Man" and "Suicide Squad" movies were at point being considered for a 2016 release but both projects have since been removed.
What do you think of all these Warner Bros./DC Comics rumors?
