Jennifer Lopez and professional dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy continue to deny relationship rumors but reportedly spent Saturday night on a "very flirty" date. An eyewitness told US Weekly that the "Dancing With the Stars" winner was spotted at Lopez's show at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut on Saturday, June 21, after he and the "I Luh Ya Papa" singer hung out at Shrine Nightclub.
The eyewitness said the two went to the club with a big group of friends but spent the night dancing and talking together.
"Maks was whispering into her ear and hugging her," the eyewitness said. "They looked very flirty with each other... She had a huge smile on her face and looked like she was having a great time."
Reportedly Chmerkovskiy, who won Season 18 of the ABC show with partner Meryl Davis, never left Lopez's side. According to the eyewitness, towards the end of the night Chmerkovskiy and Lopez held hands and hugged before saying their goodbyes.
The salsa dancer then left the club with a male friend, while Lopez stuck around with the rest of the group. The 44-year-old singer recently split from Casper Smart after two years of dating. According to reports, Lopez met Chmerkovskiy last year at the 2013 American Music Awards.
Dating rumors first surfaced shortly after announcing her breakup with Smart. A source told Life & Style magazine (via Media Take Out) that the two were spotted getting a little cozy at the Redbury Hotel in Los Angeles.
"As soon as she arrived after 10 p.m., she began flirting with Maks while sitting next to him on a couch," the source said. "At one point, he put his arm around her waist and they seemed to be locked in a very passionate conversation."
The Latina singer dismissed the rumor with Chmerkovskiy on Twitter, writing that she wasn't dating anyone at the moment. A different source also told US Weekly that nothing romantic is going on between the two - at least not right now.
"They are friends," one source said. "She doesn't have a second to date anyone right now, and it is definitely not romantic with Maksim."
