Good news "The Walking Dead" fans, Glenn Rhee is still alive - at least for now! A couple weeks ago, there was a rumor that fan favorite character Glenn (played by Steven Yeun) would die in Season 5 and his death scene was already filmed.
For a while the rumor was believable because there were no pictures of him on set in Atlanta but that has now changed. The Spoiling Dead, which started the Glenn dying rumor, obtained photos of Yeun dressed in character filming alongside Lauren Cohan (Maggie), Michael Cudlitz (Abraham), Christian Serratos (Rosita) and Josh McDermitt (Eugene).
Just because Yeun was spotted on set doesn't necessarily mean the rumor was completely false. There have been hints that production could be filming out of sequence to try and throw people from leaking too many spoilers.
Like we mentioned earlier, the death rumor was started by The Spoiling Dead after the group reportedly received insider information about filming.
"RUMOR, we have heard from multiple sources about a possible death. Word is the death of Glenn was filmed yesterday/last night. It's possible it could be someone else, but multiple sources stated Glenn," the group posted on Facebook at the time. "Reports are the set was locked down last night and everyone was told to leave because the cast would not be coming out. Alanna [Masterson] tweeted yesterday during filming 'when someone great is gone.' As we stated this is currently a rumor and we are tracking this and trying to get more information."
Masterson plays Tara Chambers. Creator Robert Kirkman was asked about the rumor and of course wouldn't reveal whether it was true or not but did say that he enjoyed hearing it.
"I absolutely love it," he told The Hollywood Reporter. "It means people care and people are paying attention. So keep those rumors flying!"
