Queen Elizabeth visited the set of the hit HBO series "Game Of Thrones" on Tuesday where she had a chance to sit on the Iron Throne.
The Guardian reports the Queen was given a tour of the set in Belfast's Titanic Quarter. The giant hall where the throne now presides is where the company Harland and Wolff built the legendary ship.
The Queen was offered the opportunity to sit on the throne, but declined and opted to handle a miniature version of the iconic chair instead, according to The Guardian.
During her visit to the "Game of Thrones" set, the Queen spoke to showrunners David Beinoff and Dan Weiss. However, "A Song of Fire And Ice" writer George R.R. Martin was not present for the visit.
"[Creators] David Benioff and Dan Weiss escorted the monarch through the show's custom-made armory, hangars of costumes, and sprawling sets used to shoot the program's interior scenes and perilous ice-cliff ascents -- part of the biggest TV production ever mounted in Europe," CBS reports.
There were also six cast members in attendance of the meeting: Lena Heady (Queen Regent Cersei Lannister), Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Conleth Hill (Lord Varys), Rose Leslie (Ygritte), Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) and Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark).
According to The Guardian, the show has generated £82m to the Northern Ireland since the show started filming in 2009. "Game of Thrones" has helped create more than 900 full-time and 5,700 part-time jobs in the area.
