Actress Kristen Bell and her husband Dax Shepard are expanding their family and getting ready for baby number two! A rep for the 33-year-old actress confirmed the baby news to Entertainment Tonight.
"I can confirm that Kristen and Dax are expecting their second child and a sibling for Lincoln," the rep said. "The whole family is beyond excited."
Bell and Shepard, who got married last October, are already parents to a 15-month-old baby girl named Lincoln. The "Veronica Mars" star spoke about her daughter to US Weekly last August, saying that she loves "[motherhood]! She's absolutely intoxicating."
At the Amex Everyday Event in New York City in April, Bell told US that she definitely wants to be a hands-on parent.
"I want to be very hands on. I want to cook for my family and feel present for them. I'm always missing her when I'm not there," she said.
A few weeks after baby Lincoln was born, Bell told Ellen DeGeneres that her husband was already smitten over their daughter.
"It's like he's just made a new best friend," Bell said. "He just talks to her all the time and sings to her all day. It's wonderful."
In December issue of Flare magazine, the "House of Lies" star revealed that she didn't have the easiest pregnancy because she didn't feel a connection to her baby. Bell told the magazine that it wasn't until after Lincoln was born that she finally felt some type of bond.
"I kept saying to him in all sincerity during my pregnancy, 'I just don't know how I'm going to like her as much as I like my dogs,'" Bell told the magazine. "I love people the more I know them, and I didn't know her. It could have been a water bottle in my belly, that's how connected I felt to her during my pregnancy."
However, "within 24 hours after she came out, my hormones reset and they reprogrammed my feelings about her," she added.
