"The Walking Dead" fans are in for a brutal and action-packed Season 5. The AMC zombie apocalyptic show doesn't return until October but there have been plenty of spoilers and rumors to keep fans occupied. AMC also released two preview videos that give viewers a sneak-peek at the upcoming season.
In the first teaser, the cast and crew talked about their favorite zombie kills (Steven Yeun liked the pharmacy zombie kill when his character, Glenn, was protecting Maggie), most exhausting thing about filming in Georgia (everyone agreed the hot weather can be brutal), and the most disgusting zombie (the well-walker on Hershel's farm won that title).
In the second clip, the cast and crew dished on what's in store for Season 5. Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon) pretty much said the script is insane and "every couple pages you're just like 'Oh my God.'"
"You have to put it down for a second and just think about it," Reedus added.
Chad Coleman (Tyreese) had one word for Season 5: "Wow!" Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) also gave his thoughts on what fans can look forward to when the show returns and said that he thinks the premiere episode will be the "most ambitious first episode" the show has ever tried to do.
Speaking of the premiere, Lauren Cohen (Maggie) said there were certain parts filmed for the first episode that she's not sure will make it on TV because it's that brutal. It's been speculated that Rick and Co. manage to escape Terminus during the premiere episode.
When Season 4 ended they were all trapped inside a train car, so we can only imagine what plan they hatch to get out.
"This episode is so disturbing," Cohen added.
Recently, "The Walking Dead" creator Robert Kirkman spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the first episode and said that questions will be answered when the show kicks off in the fall. Kirkman said fans will find out "who the people of Terminus are, what they're doing, why they're doing it, what's going on with them."
"By the end of that episode you're going to have a much better understanding of what's going on with them and why they're so important to the show," Kirkman told EW.
