Filmmaker Kevin Smith released his latest "Fat Man on Batman" podcast revealing new details about Ben Affleck's new Batsuit from "Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice."
During the podcast, Smith confirmed the Batsuit is made from cloth rather than armor-like materials. Director Zack Snyder unveiled the Batsuit on his official Twitter account on May 13. However, the director hasn't confirmed details regarding the suit's design.
Unfortunately for Snyder, Smith hasn't stopped talking about the Batsuit since the director showed him a photo of Affleck in his new costume. Soon after the big reveal, Smith revealed on the "Hollywood Babble-On" podcast what color the official Batsuit will be:
"So I've seen some people online go, 'Why is this f***ing suit any different than the Chris Nolan Batsuit, it's all one f***ing color.' It's like, 'Dude, that's a monochrome photo. You know what that means, one chrome.' That's not a representation of what the suit looks like. So what the suit looks like, and I was always kind of keeping it quiet until they revealed it, but they've revealed it.
"And you can kind of see, and anybody that...you've seen some people take the picture and color it online. If you want to see what this f***ing suit looks like, you just go to Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns, go to the third book, Hunt the Dark Knight...it's the exact f***ing outfit he's wearing. That's why I hugged that guy all those months ago."
Snyder recently revealed Henry Cavill's new Superman costume during an interview with USA Today. He also dished details about the production, which is currently filming on location in Detroit.
"You can talk all you want about other superhero movies, but it's Batman and Superman, let's just be honest," Snyder said. "I don't know how you get bigger than that."
"Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" will be released to theaters on May 6, 2016.
