President Snow's second address to the citizens of Panem ends with a twist in the latest "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" trailer.
In the second teaser, Peeta Mellark and Johanna Mason stood beside Snow during the address. Peeta and Johanna remained stoic as Snow spoke, but Panem's president is soon interrupted by a pirated message from District 13.
Peeta and Johanna were captured at the end of "Hunger Games: Catching Fire." The tributes schemed to help Katniss Everdeen escape the 75th Quarter Quell. Soon after her escape Katniss learned of Peeta's capture and the bombing of District 12.
Katniss is now in District 13 with Haymitch Abernathy, Plutarch Heavensbee and President Alma Coin plotting to overthrow Snow's rule over Panem. Julianne More, who plays Coin in the film, described District 13 in a behind-the-scenes interview with the production.
"District 13 really looks like a bomb shelter and that's what it is," Moore said. "It's all been built hundreds of feet underground, so it can withstand any kind of attack and detection. Basically, the Capitol believes they've destroyed this district that everyone is dead. But these people have managed to...take out what little they had and bring it down there and not exactly prosper.
"They barely have enough to eat," she added. "In [Mockingjay], it describes them all as being very thin, which I thought was interesting. Basically, they've been living on these tiny rations. It's not a place where there's a lot of light, not a lot of laughter, not a lot of fun. I think its people just barely getting by."
"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1," starring Jennifer Lawrence, Woody Harrelson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, Josh Hutcherson and Jena Maloe, will be released to theaters on Nov. 21.
