Batman and Superman may not be making it on to the small screen, but Wonder Woman still has a shot for her own CW show.
IGN reports DC Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns explained during the Television Critics Association press tour the company had no plans to crossover their film and TV franchises.
"You'll see a lot of DC universe characters [on The Flash and Arrow],” Johns said. “You won't see Batman or Superman. We're on production on Batman V Superman now. So you'll see characters like The Atom or Firestorm, but no not Batman or Superman right now [on TV]."
However, President of CW Mark Pedowitz revealed during the TCA press tour a Wonder Woman show starring Gal Gadot is a strong possibility if the network finds the right script.
"If she is and we can get the right script we will do it," Pedowitz told reporters, according to ComicBook.com. "One of the nice things is that a lot of the other broadcasters and cable networks have done comic book characters based on the success of Arrow. So for our purposes, it is a rich source material, we know what the mythology is, and if you have the right superhero character you go for it."
The “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” film is in the middle of production, but Gadot has yet to step into her new costume. Director Zack Snyder recently revealed the first image of Superman to USA Today, revealing new details about production.
Snyder explained during the interview Gadot is currently working out and getting “buff” for the film, but he hasn’t filmed scenes with the actress. The director added he understands the hype around the film and knows he’s under pressure to make a quality movie.
"You can talk all you want about other superhero movies, but it's Batman and Superman, let's just be honest," Snyder said. "I don't know how you get bigger than that."
“Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” will hit theaters on May 6, 2016.
