"Sons of Anarchy" fans might want to wear black while watching Season 7 of the FX show because Theo Rossi, who plays Juan Carlos "Juice" Ortiz, told E! News that a lot of characters will be dying.
"People are dropping like flies, literally, every two seconds you're like, 'Oh, that person's gone,'" Rossi, told E!. "There's always a big clap-off it feels, every scene, every episode, somebody's leaving."
It sounds like someone could be on a very dangerous and deadly mission and if we had to guess, our money is on Jax (Charlie Hunnam) doing some serious damage once he's released from jail. At the Television Critics Association on Monday, Hunnam told TV Guide that his character has a "huge amount of vengeance in his heart."
And who could blame him? Season 6 ended with Jax cradling the dead body of his wife Tara (Maggie Siff), who was brutally murder in their home. The new season will pick up 10 days after Tara's death with Jax behind bars, TV Guide reports.
Eventually he's freed and has only one thing on his mind: revenge.
"Jax is in a very schizophrenic state," Hunnam said at the event. "He's obviously very sad and vulnerable and broken with this huge amount of revenge and anger in his heart."
There's one major problem with Jax's plan to seek vengeance, he doesn't know it was his mother Gemma (Katey Sagal) who murdered his wife.
"The relationship is similar, if not better than ever," Hunnam said of his character's relationship with Gemma. "This final betrayal and tragedy in his life has completely demolished any potential of him trusting anyone outside of his immediate circle. In all of the scenes, I've been trying to instill a little bit of that sense of, 'If you're not my mom, or my children or one of the Sons of Anarchy, you better look out.'"
So will Gemma confess to the murder? Sagal said fans should not expect for her character to come clean anytime soon.
"She is somewhat duplicitous at this point - not even somewhat," she said, TV Guide reports. "What's coming out of her mouth and what's going on in her brain are two different things. She has adjusted to the situation based on her basic interest, which is to survive and keep her family together. That hasn't changed."
The seventh and final season of "Sons of Anarchy" returns Sept. 9.
