Batman reportedly suffered a little injury on the set of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." According to Star magazine, on Aug. 9 Ben Affleck hurt his shoulder while filming a scene for Zack Snyder's superhero movie and was sent home early to recuperate.
A source said that the 41-year-old actor strained his left shoulder while trying to do a "complicated move."
"It was hurting him pretty bad," a source reportedly told Star. "He's putting his all into this role and it's pretty physically demanding. The trips to the gym are two, sometimes three a day and on set he's like a machine."
Two days after the supposed accident, Affleck was photographed filming a scene on the streets of Detroit dressed as Bruce Wayne. According to Star, he was told to take things easy.
"This injury was his first and most painful while shooting," the source said. "Ben can act, but has been put on temporary hold from doing any stunts for a few days. That is, until the doctor gives him the ok to start again."
However, a source close to Affleck spoke to RumorFix and said the entire story is fake and Affleck was never hurt during filming.
"It's Star!" the source exclaimed.
Affleck, who is also starring in David Fincher's "Gone Girl," recently discussed his role as the Caped Crusader to Entertainment Weekly and said that he wasn't letting all the negativity bother him. When Snyder first announced that Affleck had been cast as Batman, the Internet exploded with criticism.
"Everyone's entitled to their opinion. I wouldn't have taken the part if I didn't trust my instincts in terms of the filmmaking," the actor told EW.
"It's great that people do care that much. They want to see the movie that much. And it is incumbent on you to honor the story," Affleck added. "There are the Greek myths and these are the American myths. The American myths are these superheroes. People care about 'em a lot. And it's incumbent on you to do a good job and make it as excellent as you possibly can. At the end of the day, the movie's all that matters."
