Amy Adams and Scoot McNairy have been spotted on the “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” set.
Adams is reprising her “Man of Steel” role as journalist Lois Lane, but McNairy’s new role is remains a mystery. Check out the images from the “Batman vs. Superman” set here and here.
In other “Batman vs. Superman” news, actor Ben Affleck recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about taking on the role of Bruce Wayne. Images of Affleck on-set have leaked online, and with the photos came more hate aimed towards the actor.
However, the actor explained to EW he believes in the director Zack Snyder’s vision and knows he’s capable of putting on a great performance. He doesn’t care about the casting backlash, but admitted it was cool to see how invested DC fans are in the film.
“You know what? It’s great that people do care that much,” Affleck told EW. “They want to see the movie that much. And it is incumbent on you to honor the story. There are the Greek myths and these are the American myths.
“The American myths are these superheroes,” he added. “People care about ‘em a lot. And it’s incumbent on you to do a good job and make it as excellent as you possibly can. At the end of the day, the movie’s all that matters.”
Affleck also dished details about portraying Batman on set. Though he believes he can give a better answer once the film wraps, Affleck has invested the time mentally and physically prepare for the role.
“It’s a process that I’ll probably have better perspective on when I’m done,” Affleck told EW. “I can tell you that every time I do a role, it’s the responsibility of an actor to get their physical self as close to the role as possible. And Batman’s obviously got a set of expectations that are tough. So I spent a lot of time working out. And it’s a far cry from Gone Girl where my character is described as “puffy and hungover.” I want you to know I worked equally hard at both!”
“Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” will be released to theaters on March 25, 2016.
