'Batman vs. Superman' Movie: Wonder Woman Lynda Carter Reveals Thoughts On Gal Gadot's New 'Dawn of Justice' Costume

The original Wonder Woman Lynda Carter has one critique of Gal Gadot’s new costume from the upcoming “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” production.

Gadot’s costume was unveiled during a surprise appearance at San Diego Comic-Con 2014. Carter explained to Access Hollywood she misses the red, white and blue aspect of the iconic costume.

However, it doesn’t mean she’s ready to comment on whether she likes Wonder Woman’s new look.

“I don't know. I haven't seen it yet, so I really can't comment,” Carter said. “Maybe there's a lot more color in it than what we saw in the picture. It's almost impossible to play a superhero anyway. You can't. You just have to play a character that happens to do these amazing things.”

The former Wonder Woman’s advice to Gadot is to let the costume to speak for itself. To Carter, the actress needs to be able to embody what Wonder Woman stands for, and everything else will fall into place.

“That's the only way you can do it,” Carter told Access. “And the costumes all take care of themselves, but it was a little more – I'll have to wait and see. I hate to comment on something that I haven't seen and I'm very supportive of Gal Gadot. I'm very supportive of them doing Wonder Woman, putting her in any capacity. I think she needs to be out there. ... It's high time somebody took a chance and did it and so I'm really happy about that.”

“Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice,” starring Gadot, Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck will be released to theaters on March 25, 2016.
