"Star Wars: Episode VII" production could be bringing back more than the Millennium Falcon.
BBC reports a pilot named Matthew Myatt snapped a photo of the X-Wing flying over a set at Greenham Common near Newbury in Berkshire
"It wasn't too clear until I viewed the picture and then realised what it was. I grew up with Star Wars so I started jumping around,” Myatt told BBC. "I was quite stunned. It was like, 'wow'. That's how the picture came about, purely by luck.
"I had to go and grab my son who's a big Star Wars fan and get him to come and look at the picture and pinch me and make sure I'd seen what I'd seen.”
It’s not just the X-Wing that’s coming back to the “Star Wars” franchise. Director J.J. Abrams recently posted a note regarding Apple’s iPhone 6 announcement. In the note was a reflection of what looks like The Empire’s Death Star or a Star Destroyer.
The “Star Wars: Episode VII” production has commented on the X-Wing or Death Star rumors. However, cast member Adam Driver recently attempted to describe the upcoming production to Entertainment Weekly.
“The thing about Star Wars that’s so good—sure there’s this huge [canvas],” Driver explained to EW. “It’s space, it’s a long time ago in a galaxy far away. That’s set up immediately.
“But in the midst of all those things, what has made those movies last so long is that they’re all grounded, which is something that is not so far off from every movie with huge universal themes of siblings and parents and betrayal and trust. That’s so generic and obvious, but it’s hard to balance those things.”
“Star Wars: Episode VII” will be released to theaters on Dec. 18, 2015.
