More teaser images of the “Family Guy” and “Simpson” crossover have surfaced, giving fans a better look art what’s to come as the Griffins visit Springfield.
Check out the images of from the crossover here. “Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the season premiere episode. MacFarlene claimed the show will be more about the interactions than the series’ rivalry.
“It’s really about the character interaction,” the “Family Guy” creator said. “People want to see Peter interact with Homer. They want to see Bart interact with Stewie. In a way, the story in a crossover episode, while it has to be there, is never quite as important as how the characters interact with each other.”
“Simpsons” creator Matt Groening admitted he felt threatened by “Family Guy” when the show first appeared on the scene.
“My first take was: Oh my god, we got competition,” Groening told EW. “And they’re outflanking us. This show is wilder and harsher and nastier. We used to get in trouble. We used to be the cause of the downfall of the United States.”
The first teaser for the “Simpsons-Family Guy” mash-up debuted during San Diego Comic Con 2014, but it wasn’t the only episode teased at the event. “Family Guy” producers talked about the Christmas episode, several special guests and more, according to EW.
“Peter and the guys discover that Jesus is a virgin, so they decide to go about helping him get laid,” executive producer Steve Callaghan told the panel audience. “We’re all going to hell,” Mike Henry added in the voice of Cleveland.
Executive producer Rich Appel claimed he was excited to work with Liam Neeson, who “was very willing to poke fun at himself.” The "Simpsons-Family Guy" will premiere on Sept. 28 on FOX.
