Home Intruder Helps Himself To Corn On The Cob

They say never to go grocery shopping on an empty stomach, but you probably shouldn't break into a home when you're hungry either.

John Dalton, 69, was hungry after a night of drinking so he broke into a Massachusetts home to cook himself a little late-night snack.

The homeowner woke up in the middle of the night after hearing a loud "bang" in the kitchen. He got in a short fight with the intruder before police arrived at 1:40 a.m., according to Enterprise News.

Dalton got into the house by forcing his way through the side door. While the only thing he stole was the piece of corn on the cob he was found eating, the man was charged with intent to commit felony, assault and battery, as well as breaking and entering.

He is expected to be arraigned next week.
