“Assassin’s Creed: Unity” will feature different types of co-op missions, including Heists that will require gamers to work with fellow Assassins to ensure they don’t get caught.
The goal of Heist missions is to infiltrate an area without being detected and steal an item, according to Ubisoft’s official blog. Once you’re in the area, Assassins are encouraged to work together to plan their routes and coordinate their kills.
The Heist missions are meant to be replayable and gamers are encouraged to play in order to earn cash and specials rewards. Creative Director Alex Amancio broke down the heist gameplay in a new video for “Assassin’s Creed: Unity.”
“Every heist mission has randomized factors, including the location of the chest and the position of the guards,” Ubisoft explained in their blog. “That means every time you wade through the sewers in this particular mission, you’ll face a different challenge, requiring you and your friends to remain on your toes. That’s where co-op skills – like the Communal Sense that’s shown off in this video – come in handy.
“And since every Assassin can be fully customized, different co-op partners will also bring different individual skills to every mission. Just remember: the more you’re detected in a heist mission, the smaller your prize. That means the most skill points, special rewards and cash go to the stealthiest among us – all of which can be used to help you further customize your own Arno.”
“Assassin’s Creed: Unity” will be released to the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on Nov. 11, along with the last-gen exclusive “Assassin’s Creed: Rogue.”
