"Glee" fans will see another familiar face at McKinley High this spring. According to Reality Tea, "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star NeNe Leakes is reprising her role as Coach Roz Washington.
The feisty former Olympian was first introduced in Season 3 as the coach of the school's synchronized swimming team. Eventually she replaced Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) as head coach of the cheerleading team, Cheerios.
This caused some friction between Sue and Roz, but after Roz proved herself and led the cheerleaders to the National Championship, Sue backed off. Since her season 3 introduction, Roz has appeared on the show a handful of times.
It's been rumored that Sue will still be McKinley High principal in the sixth and final season, so Roz is most likely returning as head cheer coach. So far, FOX has not confirmed the rumor but did say that Leakes will appear on one episode.
The reality star will join a host of returning "Glee" stars as well as some new ones. TV Line previously reported that five new characters would be added for Season 6 and they will all be sophomore students. Check out their descriptions below:
Roderick is described as the new "underdog" of the show. He's a chubby student who has an amazing voice - "like Otis Redding" good - and a lot of talent.
Spencer is the "football stud" who happens to be gay. He also has an incredible voice. TV Line described the character as "post-Glee gay," which means no one picks on Spencer about his sexuality and gets away with it.
Mason and Madison are male and female twins who are extremely positive but very weird. The two will join the Cheerios.
Jane is described as righteous, ambitious and "unconventionally pretty." She is said to have a funny personality but not because she's a comedian or class clown. TV Line said that Jane's lack of a sense of humor is what actually makes her funny. Oh yeah, she also tried to join the Warblers but was rejected, so she's now a New Direction.
The sixth and final season of "Glee" returns with 13 episodes spring of 2015.
