In honor of the “Gotham” premiere, Vulture mashed up clips of all the interpretations of the one scene that turned Bruce Wayne into Batman.
The video features scenes of Bruce’s parents dying from “Batman”, “Batman: The Brave and the Bold”, “Super Friends”, “Batman Begins”, “Gotham”, “The Dark Knight Returns” and “Batman: Year One”.
Check out the “supercut” from both live-action and animated “Batman” features below. Fox’s “Gotham” premiered on Monday to a 3.2 rating with adults 18-49 with 8.2 million viewers, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Fans were introduced to The Riddler, The Penguin, Poison Ivy and Catwoman, but The Joker has yet to make an appearance, even though many believe the comedian at Fish Mooney’s nightclub is set to play the villain.
Before viewers get too excited, rumors surfaced back in July the show would be teasing The Joker throughout the first season, according to Bleeding Cool.
"Basically, every episode in the first season will introduce a character that might be a future Joker, each emphasizing aspects of the character's iconography, a card sharp, a flower seller, a clown, or just a guy with a very big grin," according to Bleeding Cool. "All relatively unknown actors. All potentially a Joker. But only one of them being the actual Clown Prince Of Crime."
“Gotham” producer Bruno Heller told DC All Access back in August there is plan to introduce The Joker, but wouldn’t confirm when or if the character will be shown this season.
"We do have an approach for the Joker," Heller told DC All Access. "We have to keep our approach very close to our collective chest, because the Joker is, to a degree, the crown jewel of the Batman villains."
