A film extra from “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” has reportedly dished details about his time on set.
The anonymous male extra spoke to MLive, revealing the scene he did in the film was “pretty small.” The extra claimed there were 200 people on set, but not everyone was used at the same time.
“The role that I got I was actually very happy with,” the source said. “I could've had a scene with 1,000 people; it was 200-plus instead. I feel that I got some face time. There was opportunity to be in a scene, that's all I can say.
“I don't want to say too much about the layout, but we were fed very well. It was Hollywood! I'm smiling as I'm saying this. The room we were in (while waiting for shoots) felt like a high school lunch room. That's exactly what it felt like.”
The extra said once he checked onto set he was taken into fittings to look like a “new age” nerd. Though the extra didn’t describe the set, Lex Luthor’s new “Lex Corp” has been rumored to resemble a “Google” inspired tech start-up.
“After the fitting, a couple weeks later they told you where you were going to be and what scenes you were going to be in. Then you're sworn to secrecy,” the source told MLive.
The extra reportedly had 14-hour days on set. He claimed fans will be “blown away” by the final product.
“I'm hoping that it blows ‘Avatar’ out of the water. Avatar is a beautiful movie, but it's the same old story,” he said. “I want it to be knocked off the top, and I think fans should expect to be blown away (with ‘Batman v Superman’) and damn near have tears in their eyes.”
“Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” will be released to theaters on March 25, 2016.
