The sixth and final season of "Glee" kicks off next year, which means many of our favorite stars will soon leave McKinley High for good. Hollywood Life recently got the scoop on what actress Lea Michele (Rachel Berry) plans on doing following her departure from the FOX show.
A source close to Michele told Hollywood Life that the 28-year-old is hoping to transition into movies and even has dreams of winning an Oscar.
"[Lea] wants to focus more on movies and wants to do roles that would be unexpected, like what Neil Patrick Harris recently did in 'Gone Girl.' Nobody expected him in that role and he nailed it," the source told Hollywood Life.
Reportedly, Michele wants to push her acting career to new limits and would love to take on roles that are different from "Glee." Recently, Michele landed a guest role on FX's "Sons of Anarchy" as Gertie, a waitress at a truck stop restaurant.
"She brought something totally different from Rachel. I am so excited! I remember seeing her in 'Spring Awakening' when she was just a Broadway actress, and I knew there was a lot deeper actor there then what we have been able to use before or what we have seen on 'Glee,'" "Sons" executive producer Paris Barclay told Hollywood Life.
"She wants to not fall into the Jessica Alba mold, where she is in movies for her looks and sexiness," the source added. "She wants to win Oscars. She imagines competing for the same roles as Anne Hathaway."
Outside of "Glee," Michele has already accomplished a lot. She released her first book, Brunette Ambition, in May and her debut album, Louder, in March.
