'Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1': Natalie Dormer Says Cressida's Look Was 'Cold' (VIDEO)

Natalie Dormer’s Cressida hairstyle in “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1” required major upkeep.

During an interview with E! News, Dormer showed the left side of her head, as her hair is slowly growing back.

"I'm a bit fluffy," Dormer said. "They shaved my head every day, a clean shave…It was cold. I don't know if you guys remember the winter, but it was cold! Those polar vortexes! I was wearing my beanie a lot."

The actress explained she also had to wake up early for makeup artist Ve Neill to apply the vine tattoos on her freshly shaved head and neck.

"[It's] not always what you want to happen to you at 5 a.m., but it looked super cool," Dormer said.

Dormer told E! News she’s “happy and proud” to be a part of “The Hunger Games” franchise.

For those unfamiliar with Dormer’s “Hunger Games” character, Cressida is a filmmaker who was born and raised in the Capitol. She joins District 13 to expose the truth behind the rebellion.

District 13 is the poorest of area of Panem. Many believed the District was gone after the Capitol bombed the area, but the surviving citizens hid underneath the District and have been plotting their next move ever since.

"District 13 really looks like a bomb shelter and that's what it is,” Julianne Moore, who plays President Alma Coin, said during a “Hunger Games” behind-the-scenes interview. “It's all been built hundreds of feet underground, so it can withstand any kind of attack and detection.

“Basically, the Capitol believes they've destroyed this district that everyone is dead. But these people have managed to...take out what little they had and bring it down there and not exactly prosper. They barely have enough to eat.”

“The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1” will be released to theaters on Nov. 22.
