'X-Men: Days Of Future Past' Star Evan Peters Could Land His Own Quicksilver Solo Film

Evan Peters might be getting his own spinoff movie due to the success of his Quicksilver scene in “X-Men: Days of Future Past.”

The film’s second unit director Brian Smrz recently told Newsarama the possibility of “X-Men” spinoff movies isn’t exactly off the table.

"We talked about Quicksilver before, I’d love to do a Quicksilver as a solo film because there’s a lot to enjoy with that character. But I’m not geared just towards superhero movies; for me it’s about great main characters, and finding movies that have that,” Smrz said.

The director explained filming the Quicksilver scene in the movie was one of his favorite parts to work on during the entire production.

“Probably the most memorable part of the film was getting the chance to work closely with almost all of the main cast in various scenes,” he said. “As far as a particular scene that sticks out the most, I’d say the kitchen sequence with Quicksilver. I ended up doing a lot of that.”

Smrz added, “I did most of it, to be honest. I have a great relationship with [director] Bryan Singer, and he really let me do a lot there. The scenes where they enter, as well as parts where they’re frozen – I did most of it. It’s very time consuming, especially with the phantom camera and the rain. Bryan was there and did some of the key parts, but I did the rest.”

Smrz refused to give any details regarding Quicksilver’s future on the big screen, but did confirm the character will be back in “X-Men: Apocalypse,” which is slated to hit theaters May 18, 2016.

"Well, there will be another Quicksilver scene, which I’m looking forward to; that’ll be fun,” he told Newsarama.
