Taylor Swift Announces ‘1989’ World Tour as Album Expected to Go Platinum (VIDEO)

Taylor Swift is not done trying to take over the world. The 24-year-old "Shake It Off" singer released her fifth studio album, "1989," last week - it's been rumored that the album has already sold more than a million copies - and now Swift just announced a world tour.

During an appearance on "Good Morning America" the pop star revealed that she's taking her talents to the road beginning in May 2015 for the "The 1989 World Tour." The first stop on tour will be in Louisiana and wraps in Florida next October.

Swift also posted a 15-second announcement video on her website along with a full list of tour dates. According to Hollywood Life, Swift recruited Vance Joy to open for her North American shows as well as Shawn Mendes.

"Stoke that @taylorswift13 invited the band and I on her North American tour next tear. Going to play some big venues," Vance Joy tweeted.

"So you guys ready for this first bit og huge news?!" Mendes tweeted. "So excited I'll be joining @taylorswift13 for the North American stadium sates of #The1989WorldTour!"

Members of TaylorSwift.com and American Express Card members will be able to purchase tickets first on Nov. 7, with general public tickets going on sale Nov. 14.
