'Shazam' Actor Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Confirms Black Adam Won't Crossover To Other DC Universes

Don’t expect to see Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Black Adam crossover to other Warner Bros. DC movies anytime soon.

The “Shazam” actor told his Twitter followers that his DC movie would be independent of the other universes. "Shazam" is also not a member of the “Justice League," and it would make sense for his nemesis to appear in the franchise.

Toby Emmerich, New Line president and producer of the upcoming film, also told Entertainment Weekly back in September that “Shazam” is its own movie.

“It feels to me like Shazam will have a tone unto itself,” Emmerich explained. “It’s a DC comic, but it’s not a Justice League character, and it’s not a Marvel comic. The tone and the feeling of the movie will be different from the other range of comic book movies.”

Unfortunately, the production has yet to announce who will play the "Shazam" to Johnson's Black Adams.

However, DC recently announced their movie lineup through 2020. The studio previously released expected release dates for “untitled” DC movies. See the list below for all of the reportedly scheduled release dates for the DC films:
