Dormer, who is best known for her role as Margaery Tyrell in “Game of Thrones,” recently dished to E! News what it was like to shave part of her head for the role. Dormer explained her “Hunger Games” hairstyle required a clean shave in order to apply her tattoos.
"I'm a bit fluffy," Dormer said, referring to the shaved part of her head that has slowly grown in. "They shaved my head every day, a clean shave…It was cold. I don't know if you guys remember the winter, but it was cold! Those polar vortexes! I was wearing my beanie a lot."
Dormer told E! News she had to wake up early to sit and meet with makeup artist Ve Neill who would carefully apply the green vine tattoos on her head. However, Dormer was excited to be a part of the franchise and didn’t mind the early wake up call
"[It's] not always what you want to happen to you at 5 a.m., but it looked super cool," Dormer said.
