If your Field of View slider is missing in “Far Cry 4” for the PC, don’t complain about it to Ubisoft.
Alex Hutchinson, creative director at Ubisoft Montreal, released a tweet to his followers claiming those who do not have sliders and complain about it have outed themselves as pirates.
Ubisoft isn’t the only game developer that’s attempting to deter piracy. EA was able to catch people illegally downloading their “Sims 4” title when users began complaining about growing pixels that would eventually engulf the screen.
EA eventually revealed the “glitch” would be activated if the player illegally obtained the title.
If you’re still unsure whether you want to purchase the title, check out what some reviewers had to say about “Far Cry 4” below.
CVG gives the title a 9 out of 10:
“Everything aside from the main missions can be experienced in co-op, further raising the unpredictable destruction stakes. It's here that the 'fortresses' are best tackled as they embody Far Cry 4's most difficult challenges, throwing elite troops and uncompromising environmental design at you. One wrong step and you'll die, making for significant satisfaction when you do manage to conquer them.”
Joystiq gives “Far Cry 4” 4.5 out of 5 stars:
“Far Cry 4's other faults lie in some of the orchestrated missions, i.e. the few instances where freedom is reduced. Some of these missions are just bad at communicating goals or suggesting that failure is needed to advance. One particularly puzzling mission even ends with you dying, in the same way you do any other time, but in that instance it's an acknowledged part of the story, not just swept under the rug for a do-over like it always is.”
Metacritic users give the title an 8.2 out of 10 rating:
“Far Cry 4 plays almost identically to its glorious predecessor, but the lack of change in gameplay mechanics doesn't stop it from being a great game. While the story is not so compelling, Kyrat is beautiful enough you will want to stay.”
