Before the announcement of “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice,” there was an Easter egg in Will Smith’s “I Am Legend.”
The “I Am Legend” producer and writer Akiva Goldsman was originally tapped to write “Batman vs. Superman” script, the film’s director Francis Lawrence told Collider.
As a nod to “Batman v. Superman,” the filmmakers decided to put a billboard of the production’s logo in the middle of Times Square. “I Am Legend” came out in 2007, way before Warner Bros. revealed their “Batman vs. Superman” production.
Unfortunately for Goldsman, the script was dropped and his version of “Batman v. Superman” was never made. Instead, Christopher Nolan launched the “Dark Knight” trilogy and the “Batman v. Superman” project was shelved.

Lawrence is currently promoting his new film “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1” starring Jennifer Lawrence (no relation), Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson.
Lawrence recently dished details to Vanity Fair about the scene that terrified Jennifer the most during her time on the “Mockingjay” set. Lawrence made Jennifer sing “The Hanging Tree,” a song Suzanne Collins wrote in the novel. The director wanted Jennifer to sing “The Hanging Tree” because of the poweful message behind the song.
“She was horrified to sing,” Francis told the magazine. “She cried a little bit in the morning before [the scene]. . . She’d probably tell you it was her least favorite day [on set].”
He added, “We had a vocal coach, who sort of shifted the key for Jen’s voice. Then she started working with Jen once or twice . . . Jen didn’t really want to do too much of the training. I was worried, I really thought we were going to have to do a bunch of pitch shifting, but she sounded great. What you hear in the movie is what she did on the day in the quarry.”
