Ariana Grande was touched by an Angel at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on Tuesday in London. The 21-year-old was performing a medley of her hits when supermodel Elsa Hosk, donning a gigantic fluffy pair of wings, graced the stage to show off some Victoria's Secret lingerie.
Right in the middle of one of Grande's songs, Hosk turned around and smacked the "Baby I" singer in the head with her wings. Grande cowered in fear but still continued performing. The horrific look on her face, which of course was caught on camera, has already been turned into a meme.
Grande took the incident in stride and joked about it on Twitter, writing, "A Victoria's Secret angel accidentally smacked me in the face with her wings and it was awesome #goals #bangbanginittomyface."
Hosk has not mentioned the Grande-smackdown on her social media accounts but did thank her trainers for getting her in tip-top shape for the show.
"Thanks @1on1knockout @flywheelsports for making me strong enough to carry larger than life pink-wings #VSfashionshow @vspink @victoriassecret," she wrote.
Grande also told her fans that she almost had another accident with angel wings earlier during a rehearsal for the show because she was nervous.
"Was so nervous / excited at dress rehearsal i almost walked face first into an Angel's wings and died lmao oops. (only me..... ever) now getting ready for the real thing! again so excited to be here @victoriassecret thank you," she wrote on Instagram.
The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show airs Dec. 9 on CBS.
